The March Edit
You'll never guess the paint color I picked
🍓 On the Table
This year, I’ve felt a strong pull to celebrate more church holidays—though my execution hasn’t quite matched my intention. Connor, for one, is baffled by the sudden influx of unfamiliar feast days and was equally perplexed to come home to a cabbage-filled St. Patrick’s Day dinner. (Don’t worry, there was meat too.) When I asked how it was, his response sealed my festive fate: “Yeah, it’s good! For a once-a-year thing.” It’s been decided: we’re going out next St. Patricks day.
Ambitious Kitchen is my favorite food blog because she limits the life stories in posts. I’m all for a memoir, but not when I’m trying to make tacos. She came out with a cookbook that I added to the rotation this month- it’s great!
🕯️ Inspired by

I did something crazy this month. I painted a room white with cream trim. I am okay, but thanks for asking. I think we’ve hit our color quota for this house- we’ve got pink, purple, blue & green. Something about an exhale of whites felt right, and also confusing. Who am I anymore?????? Cue the existential crisis.
🪩 Bits & Bobs
Girls who love to gather: This website for sending group invites is great.
If I were a house, I’d be this one.
Lisa Says Gah Polly Pocket crossover is everything my nostalgic heart loves.
Dresses over pants? How do we feel about this trend? (from Jessie’s Substack)
Please enjoy this Vintage Swedish twin headboard I found on Facebook for $50 since I have no use for it.
🎀 Dressed In
Lake Pajamas. I finally caved and did what all southern influencers have been telling me to do: order. the. pajamas. I hate to report, they were right! These are actually so comfy. I sized up to a M and of course, already want another pair.
“Easter dresses” accurately describes my year round style. I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect frock and have rounded up all different price points here.
📖 Reading
The Postcard- It’s part novel, part memoir, and totally gut wrenching & eye opening. The author, Anne, is trying to discover more about her great grandparents & family members who died in Auschwitz.
Hannah’s Children- A collection of anecdotes from women who have 5 or more children. It was interesting to see a common thread of loss, religion & sheer delight in children running through all the stories.
Sacred Seasons- I’m going all celebrationist this year, remember? This book has great guidelines for liturgical holidays and how to bring them to life in a meaningful way. Maybe I’ll try their St. Patricks Day recipe next year. 🤪

✨ Everyday Magic
I wish I could say March has been magical, but in reality—it’s been messy. We’re in the middle of so many new things: endless projects, trying different churches every week, and feebly forming new friendships. We’re unearthing old bad habits—individually and in our marriage—left behind by the routines (and trauma) of our Austin life, while trying to plant new ones.
The internet loves to tout the beauty of routine and healthy habits, but some seasons of life don’t leave space for much of that. In true spring fashion, things are blooming—but it’s a slow, messy process. For now, my clothes are in the office, the dining room is full of woodworking supplies, and one day, it will all be settled.
If you’re in the middle of a messy season, you are not alone.
🦢 Dear Diary
Sometimes childlike things bring more heartache; other times, they bring so much joy. It’s hard to predict what will help and what will hurt, but these spring gosling photos made me feel so close to Kennedy Claire. We had a bunny petting zoo at her celebration of life—no wonder tiny animals remind me of her! While I wish she were actually in these images, in a way, she already is.

Happy Spring- I hope your March was full of joy. See you in April! 🌷
With love,

https://a.co/d/eCz8a9h this book sounds right up your alley for your year of liturgical living! And if you haven’t checked out a Catholic Church on your search I highly recommend that too ☺️💕 (but the book is great either way!)
